Elo,

Can anyone help me with some advice please. If an installation has no isolator between the supply meter is they a requirement to upgrade it when doing a PIR, if so what code would it be marked down on the PIR as in both domestic or commercial installations?

No requirement.

Also it's no longer a PIR

No requirement.

always assuming that the installation has a single point of isolation, though.

It would depend on the distance between the meter and the distribution board and how the tails are installed.

A single point of Isolatation, or a durable warning detailing the position of other points of isolation should be provided for each installation.
It should also be noted, that for many years premises with a separate CU for storage heaters have been considered as having two installations.
Not really a problem, if both the storage heaters CU and the Power and lighting CU are near each other.
