Is it good practice MCB then RCD ?

Hello, would appreciate your advice.
Old Federal Electrics D/B, Rederal Eletrics went under, meaning no suitable RCBO's,
Would it be acceptable to use MCB's that are there and install an RCD after MCB ?

usually OK. think of an old CU where you need to add a RCD for some new sockets.

Yes we normally install a small enclose next to The DB to fit the RCDs in

Of course its fine, as long as the newly installed cable between MCB and RCD does not require RCD protection.

I think if it was in a domestic I would change the whole DB or not do the Job

I'd suggest advising the customer of the significant advantages of upgrading the board. Federal MCBs aren't exactly the most reliable for actually operating under fault conditions.

And remember if its a RFC, then BOTH legs need to go "through" the RCD
