I know I’m not qualified in the PV installation side of things, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t the correct advice to be telling a homeowner...
(I was there on another matter, but this made me giggle)

“remove the DNO fuse“.... really?

The invertor is powered from an mcb in a split rcd board. I’m sure there’s another way to isolate.

Little Spark that is a factory sticker but the remove the DNO fuse was put there by someone else

Oh yeh, Megawatt... I know its a factory sticker... it was the added "pull the main fuse" addition that is questionable
I really meant it in a tongue in cheek manner. ;)

LittleSpark I knew that you were smarter than that I was just saying the obvious. Not trying to insult your intelligence ?
you can't insult my intelligence. you won't be able to find it. 5 trick cyclists (can't spell pshyytrist) have tried and failed.

That is one place to isolate the main supply,
On mine when I was installing solar it used to say to isolate at property's main switch.

Should PV be connected to split load board?
I don’t know, I’m not an installer... but the majority of houses I’ve worked in that have PV have the invertor supplied from a breaker in the main board.
Including my own.

this particular house has had pv panels installed by a local company that specialises in solar and turbines. I’m surprised they would use this advice.
