Issue with MR16 downlights

Hi

I replaced a 50W halogen MR16 12AC bulb with a new 50W halogen MR16 12AC bulb, but it doesn't work.
The transformer is working, as I have taken out a working bulb from another downlight and it works on the first one.
I have taken the new bulb and tried the second fitting, same thing.

I just got another new bulb and just tried it, same thing.

All bulbs are 50W halogen MR16 12AC.
None of them are LEDs.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Thanks, I don't know if it is that, as the working bulb works everywhere every time, and the two new bulbs work nowhere.
I tried another MR16 light fitting in another room, same problem.

The new bulbs were from different manufactures, but both labelled as Halogen Dichroic lamp, EHLC 12V.

meter the new bulbs. should read about 70 ohms cold.

Thank you, yea both bulbs were reading at 0 ohms, I brought a few new ones and are now working.
