I will be carrying out as part of a testing and inspection, an installation with 4 RCBO's, 2330 exam.
while carrying out an Insulation Resitance Test om the whole installation.
My question is that an RCBO can give readings as low as 2.7 Megohm N-Earth, if there are 4 will they act as being in Parallel and give an even lower result over all.
Would it be best to Test each circuit individually?

Thanks
:)

Hey.

Not sure you should be meggering RCBO's mate.

1. You risk damaging them.
2. As you already said they will give you a false reading.

Jusy MHO.

Cheers.

Thanks for the Advise,
I will be testing 6 circuits in all, 2 protected with a 30mA RCD, 4 with seperate RCBO's.

cheers:)
