Hello again,
Just another quickie for ya...
I was running the lighting radial this afternoon and I needed to fit a couple of 5 amp jb's but I only had one left and my back order hadn't arrived...but i did have a few 20 amp jb's lying around. the quesyion is...Is it ok to use larger jb's than really requied as I'm not sure about having the smaller 1.5mm T&E cable leaving a gap for ingress of foriegn objectse where the cable enters the jb??
I know you cant use a smaller rated jb than required, thats common sence  lol
Cheers,
P

I wouldn't of thort it would make a difference i think its just the size difference as you've explained as in a little big for 1.5 cables too fit snug...

Cheers Guys,
I was hoping you'd say that.lol To be honest when your trying to fit four cables into a 5 amp jb I think its pretty tight and a hell of a lot easier in the 20 amp, may just use those from now on?lol..just kidding!
Thanks all, have a good weekend...

I sometimes use a 30 if there is a fair few to get in there. Not often tho.
