Discuss Jubilee line light switch in the DIY Electrical Advice area at ElectriciansForums.net

I meant is there a loft space..
Because you are controlling a downlight then it makes the job very easy..
Is the wall plasterboard? That will be the only mess needed to be made..
What you need is an rf binary input module, this will be wired into the new switch..
Rf receiver installed in line with the downlights..

Why jump to rf as a first solution? A hard wired solution is almost certainly possible eliminating the need for any wireless connections, hard wired connections are inherently more reliable than wireless.

A hard wired solution will be possible but due to the lack of information available, the rf solution I suggested is a guaranteed hassle free solution.
It is prone to problems as is a wired solution but the rf solution I suggested would be a lot less hassle.
