Depends on the cable size and I've known lads throw them in the bin.
I use one but dont expect it to wonderful, can be easier in a tight spot tho.

As above. Been other threads about this product. Some like it others don't. I use a mini pipe cutter on the more usual S.W.A. used in domestic and that was only a £5.

Cheers,
Lofty.

Excellent idea Lofty :icon14: Gotta be honest I never even thought of that & i've got 2 of the things.

Same as Lofty i sometimes use a pipe cutter on SWA ! but mainly out comes the knife & snips or hacksaw, cant comment on the blade runner as never used one.

On smaller SWA i ring some tape round for a cutting guide and use a junior hacksaw and sharp stanley knife. The jubilee clip works a treat on larger cables!

I use one and so far haven't had any problems other then the blade blunting. admittedly its not always perfect, but its fairly tidy even at its worst etc. Great for use in situations where you can't get at the cable easily to use a hacksaw etc.

i had to terminate a load of SWA recently (only 3 core 2.5mm) and found the Kewtech Cutter really helpful and sped things up dramatically.
