Kitchen LED transformer requirement

Got a string of 12v led bulbs with a total of 30w which I want to use one transformer.

What size/type of transformer to power these would you suggest.

One recommended by the supplier of the LED's would be the best bet!

I would if B&Q showed it, thats why I'm asking for suggestions.

The lights currently were 12v 35w mr16 halogen and a transformer for each. Each transformer rated as 20 - 60va and one already burnt out although 6 leds x 5w is within the capacity of the transformer. The circuit has been altered so one transformer feeds the string of 6 leds. Been told I need a led type transformer and thats why I'm here asking a question.

you need a driver with a min load <30watts, and a max load of , sy, 100watts.

Why fit 12v LED's - much better to fit 230v GU10 LED's to replace MR16 IMHO.......

AND more importantly why only 1 transformer? if that goes pop you'll loose all the lights..... it WILL happen

As murdoch said i'd go that way less issues in the long term and greater selection of lamps.

Thanks all,

Taken the bull by the horns and gone for GU10 LED lamps.
Changed all the holders for GU10 from GU5.3 and dumping the transformers, also all the fittings are now earthed for 230v use.

One thing I found out before changing over to GU10 holders and lamps.

A led driver does not work with GU5.3 lamps.........
