Just had a question put to me, cabling T&E On cable tray, lights are connected by klicks.
The klicks are mounted onto the tray, cables are looped into 25mm end box, plastic,
normal 3 x t&e cables, cable tied into position, does this contravene any reg, like the IP2X ingress protection.
Finger could enter the box,but not actually in contact with live connections.

You'd have to be a spider to get in 25's with 3 T+E's. 20's would probably be better, though.
Just don't do this with 'em.

You're more likely to suffer other injuries getting up to the tray than a shock from straying fingers.
Ripping you head open on overly long and or badly cut Threaded rod ends springs to mind.

I'd say it would only contravene the IP regulations if finger access could reach basic insulation. I assume these are already in place, but I suppose if that method of installation was being used a few inches of plastic conduit in the box spout would remove any prospect of access.

pretty shocking, especially when using conduit, could of been a nice job that?
Believe me it was totally S***, all through. I don't think I have ever seen a worse one. The photos aren't very clear but look closely at this one.....the joist and a downlight.

When I worked for a company in Manchester about 10 years ago I put hundreds and hundreds of 25mm end boxes with Kliks up with 2x 3c entering.
Nearly broke my nose or lost my eye more than once stripping LSF in winter on sites.
