Doing, Industrial work at the moment, everything is new to me. I was looking to see how I could go about improving my industrial side of electrics, so wondering if anyone knows of any decent books? websites etc Get abit confused when it comes to contacts with overload protection, wiring motors, etc.

cheers

Luke,

so not only are you not a 'proper electrician' (according to some of the recent posts on this forum), then you are not a proper industrial electrician either:p

Look at Rum's recent posts, he is an ideal example of an intelligent hard working tradesman that has learned as he has gone along - he started on installations and ended up doing industrial maintenance type work - I went the other way

I was fault finding on auto-synchronous induction motor starter panels when i was 19

now i'm 41, and teaching domestic installers and 2391

your own 'handle' is "if you build it they will come";)

stick at it my friend, i'm sure you will get there - just get stuck in where you can

but books? nah - they will be talking vectors and formulas by page two and you will learn nowt:rolleyes:

I guess us unqualified monkeys are taking over this site

"ooo, oooo" wheres me banana

Would never call myself a proper electrician but maybe an "improving electrician" no way can i call myself a proper sparky with a years work :) i'll get there, things like this take time.

anyways, how you think the forum is panning out, since u was one of me first members to join and stay??? I personally finding too many one post wonders on here , not coming back and that??!!??

Think you should start a new thread Luke if your going to start ranting about people posting ;)

Anyway, back to your original question. Do what I do. Just answer yes to everything then get one of the other lads to do it whilst you go for a smoke (or a **** if you don't smoke)

Ooooh. Automatic censorship!!!
