Hi, what type/size of wire will I need for 6 36W led batten lights in my garage?
Would 2 core 0.75mm round flex wire be ok?

They are likely to need an earth so two core is not suitable. If you are wiring between the fittings then 0.75 is inadequate for the purpose of fixed wiring, without more details such as circuit length and the size of protective device then 1.0 T&E should be the minimum. If you are adding additional lights from the existing set-up then it is now a requirement for them to have additional 30ma rcd protection as I assume this is a dwelling.

The led batten lights only have live & neutral connections as they are double insulated & plastic, they are replacing fluorescent tubes but will be in different positions so will need new wiring.

0.75 two core flex is not suitable, a cpc (earth) should be provided at all points. Best way to connect is through ceiling roses wired in at least 1.0 T&E then you can use the two core from the ceiling roses.
