Hi all.
Noob forum member here.
Can I ask what is considered to be the correct method/s of connecting the tails from several LED downlights to the driver.
Specifically I have just found a constant current LED driver in a cupboard of my new house. It supplies power to 8 x 1W downlights in the ceiling. All the tails come into the cupboard where all the neutral wires are connected into one terminal block connector and all the live into another. It has all been wrapped in insulation tape.

It looks crap. There must be a better way?

Also, if they are connected like this the downlights are in parallel. Constant current drivers are for connection in series.

all depends on what voltage each lamp requires. if they are each 12V, then they need to be in parallel. wagos in an enclosure is the way forward.
