Customer has a movie room in their house 2gang dimmer switch with 4x 9w led downlights on one dimmer and 2x 12v halogen wall washer downlights on the other dimmer

halogen has standard dimmer switch and leds have appropriate led dimmer as recommended with fittings no problems with dimming all works fine

trouble is when led lights are already on then 12v downlights are then switched on they knock out the led downlights for a second or two then they come back on

wiring is 100% fine

not sure of the issue TBH

any ideas?

I had a similar problem, I installed 8 x 10W LED down lights on a dimmer which also had 3 x existing garden lights (low energy), switched by a grid switch dimmer one side and standard switch the other, found that when the garden lights where switched on the LED dimmed for couple of seconds, found that one of the garden lights had developed a fault, which didn't affect the garden lights working but somehow made the LED's dim when switched on

i disconnected each garden light and wired a temp batten holder, and switched on LED's until I found the faulty light

try that with the wall washers
