I have been converting all of my metal halide light fixtures over to LED, and there haven't been any issues on most of them. However, on my last two, when the reflector plate is reinstalled, I cant get the glass cover to close due to the width of the bulb. I'm needing 150w equivalent. The fixture is square and the reflector plate fits in, with a domed out middle for the light to fit. Any suggestions? Can I remove the glass cover? Can I modify the reflector plate? A21 bulbs are too wide and cob lights are too tall to fit in the recessed area.

Campranger I guess since you can’t find the right bulb I guess the easiest thing to do is take the glass off. Make sure no combustible material is within 6 inches since it will get hot without the glass
