If anyone could help.

We have blue led strip lighting under and over our kitchen cabinets, after a few days of moving in some of the lighting went off.

I’ve looked under the cabinet and found the attached photo.

1) I it wired properly?
2) how comes the yellow and green wire is not attached to anything?

Any suggestions would be great

Whee does the other end of the brown/ blue flex go?
If it’s the outgoing side of a transformer or driver, it will be 12v and the green and yellow isn’t required.

I would suggest asking an electrician to have a look. They have specific test equipment that will be needed to find a fault.
If you give us a rough location, one of the members may be able to help.

I agree it may not be mains voltage. The lower cable in the top pic appears to be damaged or melted.

I think the discolouration on the cables is the glue that has been used to stick the LED strip.

I think this is where the kettle has been sitting looking at the bottom of the wall unit.

There’s a white flex disappearing into the wall behind the black splash back. That could be the 230v feed coming from an SFCU.

Hi there,

Yes the LED strip is 12v, I recently had an electrician to do so other work in my house, I asked him to have a look which he briefly did, this is what he said....

The power coming out from the blue n brown wire is 12v however the power going through the LED is 2v

I believe the brown and blue wires are connecting to the driver/transformer.

Will a new led strip light fix it?
