Have my 302 on Friday. Discussed it last Friday, was told;

  • we shouldn't need a calculator
  • describe the safe isolaton procedure
  • equipment list (don't forget screwdrivers, croc clips etc) - low-reading ohm-meter, high-reading ohm-meter (IR tester), RCD tester, EFLI w/PFC tester. With ranger & units - mA, mS, Ohms, kA. Remember GS38
  • Safe iso kit (lock, key, sign etc)
  • proving unit, with an approved voltage indicator
  • possibly conduct a risk assessment
  • description of the tests
  • to cite relevant Regs/Acts, H&S at work, 7671, building regs etc
I don't have any info with regards 303 as we're not doing that until May.

Hope that helps though.:)

iIhad my 302 written exam today .
It was paper H
some of the questions i remember are;
the over all resistance at a db containing 5 ccts
what would happen to the insulation resistance if another cct was added.
I had to draw the earth fault lopp path for a TNCS system
I had to draw the main intake position to a db
there was a question refering to adiabitic equasion which i made a big deal out of but in fact all i needed to state was that 6mm cable has a 2.5 cpc
another one on voltdrop
and a big one about the cable capacity of conduit - i remember the answer being 25 mm conduit.
There were a few simple questions about PIR EIR certificates.
Hope you find this helpfull
