So I’m abit rusty on lightswitch connections baring in mind it’s not 3 plating so here goes ... , a 1 gang powering 1 half of kitchen down lights and then a 2 gang 2 way powering an outside light and then another half of the kitchen downlights , I want to change it so that the switches are 2 wayed and all the downlights are switched together and keep the outside light on the other end switch , so if I take out one of the switch wires and then put a 3 core from each switch to each other , how do the connections go ? Is it the common with a link in and then black brown L1-L2 and the same the other end ?

I just need an answer of yes or no and then the reasoning why , I don’t need a lesson on how to present myself thanks.

just figure it out. add the 3 core if needed . then treat each switch independently. draw it out on a smoke packet.

not exactly the right attitude when you're asking for help.

job this week for me customer tried to change his nice shiny chrome switches from plastic on a new build and cocked it up .me dont think he could go to the site mangers office and say could you send me a spark ,me dont think so .

It’s not a straightforward job changing 2 one ways into a 2 way circuit. (Disregarding the outside light, as it remains as is)
The depends if you’ve got a live loop at the lights, or a neutral loop at the switch, or a central jointbox.
(I see now you said it’s not 3 plate)
You will need an electrician to first trace where all the cables are going, and whether it’s feasible with what’s there, or needs an extra cable run in.
