Just interested to know the most common method of wiring lighting circuits. My dad always went down the JB route. I prefer looping in/out at the ceiling rose, but am finding many are now looping from switch to switch. Any thoughts chaps?

How long since your dad did it? Spider circuit or multi JB?
My way was the light point loop-in...but these days, with neutral requirements, switch looping seems popular.
I prefer it at the lights, especially with multi switching. It's bad enough with loads of earth wires, never mind neutrals. You can always take a 3 core to the switch.
Whatever suits the job, I suppose.

My dad is 97 now so quite a while ago. Multi j.b s all over the place so nightmare fault finding. Now loops in at the light after much persuasion from me.
