I have four can lights in my kitchen that are controlled by two switches on opposite sides of the room. Recently, when you try to turn those lights off by the switch opposite switch from that you used to turn them on they just blink and stay on. This seems to be true regardless of where you start. The on switch that turns them on must be used to turn them off. Any ideas why?

If I've understood you correctly then I would say there is a fault in one of the 2 way switches, or a bad connection with the strappers (the link wires between the two switches)

Has there been any work done to either of the switches? Like changing them to decorative metal or anything where they haven’t been put back correctly?

Or, one of switches has a fault and it’s just not “switching” any more

No work has been done. I’m guessing one of the switches is bad. Thanks for the reply.
