Load limiting

Hi, I've been asked by the DNO to install a load limiter for the charger as it is right on the MD. I know Podpoint have the CT clamp and cable but the charger is 25m away from the mains tails! Is there any kit out there that can monitor the load being drawn and potentially switch off the charger as a safety feature if it gets too high?

Many chargers can be configured to lower levels which may be a quick way of getting under the MD. I am not aware of a dynamic charger but there may be some out there, others may know on here

Zappi charger permits a remote RF signalled current clamp measurement to limit the max current. Or use the swa feed cable with the extra 2 core to connect the current clamp without running an additional cable

Zappi 2 charger has monitoring as well. If you install it with a cable like Doncaster Cable's EV Untra, which has a coms cable in with it then I think it manages the power consumption. Have a look into it.
