Hi there looking to fit 4 double sockets in a loft , there are no existing sockets wired from the loft so it will require a cable to be rsn into the loft , im wondering if i spur off a socket can i then connect the 4 new sockets in a radial from the spur assuming the original socket circuit is a ring?

Oeoviding your Spur is a fused spur then yes see appendix 15 BBB or BYB if you haven't updated yet.

Why not just run 2 cables and extend the ring into the attic?
You already intend to run one cable.....
That is, of course, if the circuit you are intending to wire this to is a RFC.

if it's a radial, you can fit as many as you want (within reason) and is the existing socket circuit RCD protected?

2nd year apprentice thats works only in new builds so was just making sure thats why the question , as i knew you could only have 1 spur for each socket
Fair enough.
Load is the question. 4 d sockets from a 13amp fcu. You've got your cable protection, it's what you're going to feed in the loft...I wouldn't imagine much....but you never know!.....small workshop, office, brew room, cannabis farm, who knows? ;)

It would just be a desktop computer a couple of lamps and maybe a standing fan , that should be okay right?

Again, if you are converting the attic into another room, when why not just extend the existing ring from below? It gives you more options in the future about what you can plug in...
You are intending to run 1 wire up....... you might as well run 2...
