Discuss main switch in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

it tells me i have to ask six questions to start on here.......domestic house with wylex db, 1 type 1 breaker and 4 type bs.....main switch 63a rcd....if you look in regs it doesnt state rcd as an option.....but it does make circuits rcd protected

how do i get into the forums, personally i find it quite difficult, just a load of rubbish platered everywhere, like a really cheap phone this website, not easy and simple like an i phone

existing installl means a cu in place with a single RCD. i.e. no changes being made to the cu

Are you saying, i can't for arguments sake have an S type 100 mA RCD replacing the CU's main isolator switch on say a TT system?? Personally i can't see a problem with it, be it an existing CU or new 17th ed CU, the DP switch mechanism will conform to the same requirements as the normal isolator switch...

rcds are not for overcurrent so you are relieing on the breakers for that, and are all rcds not douple pole......just asking because im ****, not trying to tell anyone the way
