Discuss maintaince free junction box in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I exhaust all other avenues before putting maintenance free (MF) junction boxes under floorboards as, put simply, it's never going to be as good as a continuous length of cable. However, sometimes you have to.

I use wagobox http://www.wago.ltd.uk/enclosures/wagobox/ (not wagobox light as these are not MF). Plus they require a cable tie around them in the given slot to be deemed MF. Also they must only be used with correct wago terminals for the given box.

@diyterry give us a little more background of what your looking to acheive and we may be able to sujest other methods, possibly, just noticed your in Suffolk too, so if you do get in a tangle give me a pm
In the past someone has connected a lighting circuit to the ring main via a switched and fused surface mounted box, this is now obsolete, so I'd like to remove it to tidy the wall up.
