So, I'm just wondering if anyone's got or used one of these little fellas?

Currently I've got a cheap and cheerful Ryobi battery drill, as it was all I could afford at the time - and to be honest for the moment it'll serve the purpose.

However, they'll come a time when I want something proper, and I've been looking at this thing with interest - on the face of it, it certainly seems like a good idea - 4 in 1, combi drill and impact driver . . . sounds like a winner. Doesn't it?

Well, what looks good on paper doesn't always work in the real world, so I was wondering if anyone has come across one of these and how it shaped up.

I really can't afford to blow that kind of money on something that could turn out to be cack.

Ta in advance

Get one. I wouldn't be without mine now. I use it every day!

Sound, that's a pretty winning endorsement.

Battery life any good? I've heard 'things' about the new Li-ion stuff, dunno how much to believe. Also, what's it like for fittings and that? Don't you have to have some sort of special adapter to use normal bits in it (or something)

Cheers mate

Mate, it is the best bit of kit you will but. Highly versatile and the battery life is fantastic. As for bits - uses normal hex bits. Just buy it - you won't be disappointed.

Just bought one. I found the BTP140 4 function and BHP451 3 speed combi twin pack with 2x 18v 3.0 Ah Li-ion batts, charger and case for only £345!!!
Tool Chest Direct Search
£50 cheaper than the best next price for just the BTP140 with 2 batts!!! Struggling to find a 5.5mm masonry bit for the BTP140 though
