they're not accurate. they're just as simple tool, same as a voltstick is. a rough guide only. i have a fluke socket tester which has a RCD test built in. no way of telling the trip time or current, but useful to isolate a circuit, saves a trip to the CU.

Where abouts did you get this telectrix? I was looking for this one but only saw the lower models

Just use a plug with E & N linked inside.
