Hi Guys & Girls,

Can anyone help. Im trying to find evidence that standard MC4's wont fit 6mm cable. If fitted it will result in Riso faults, loss of generation etc.
Reason being using a standard MC4 your unable to tighten the gland up fully, if tightened to much it cross threads making the ingress of water even more so.

Can anyone help me find evidence of this or knows where to point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your help in advance!

the gland is designed to tighten to the cable and no further, as long as it's tight and the cable can't rotate in the gland then it's water tight.
