Hi eyeryone,

Has anybody got the best (simpist way) of measuring a radial circiut with a DOL controling a Fan, This is on a Rig at college, on which I will be tested on next week. I want to be able to prove polarity at the same time, as in a light radial for example.

Thanks in advance.
:)

When it comes to testing continuity on a circuit with an inline p.b direct online starter (dol), you could always bypass the starter (connect it out) and test between l-e at the end, ie fan, or you could use croc clips at l-e at fan and manually holding in the contacter as this creates the link to provide continuity.
My prefered method would be hold in the contactor.. but that all depends on the assessor whether he likes that idea.. Might be worth just confirming this with a college tutor beforehand to confirm.

Hope this helps..:)
