Megger 1553

Hi, I use the megger 1553 tester, Now i have herd that yoiu can get the software that automatically transfers the info onto the certs and then prints.. Anyone use it and if so is it good and how does it work?

No idea I have a 1553 and I am very happy but I transfer my readings to a quick check sheet I made up as I could not justify using the bluetooth function plus no laptop to carry or drop just a sheet with the facts on it . Should have bough a 1552 lol

i wouldn't bother with the bluetooth. by the time you've inputted all the readings, you could have done them from a hand written sheet like OT's, finished the cert. on the pc, and be on your 2nd pint.

Also the cost of the software was another £350 + vat when I looked into it, decided I could just use the old fashioned pen and copy of cert

Funny thing is there is more money in HVAC/BMS controls but my business seems to fall into domestic electrical / alarm repairs not that I am complaining lol
