megger or kewtech??

Looking to buy a multifunction tester, which one?? Kewtech kt63 or megger 1550????

i had to use kewtech at company i worked for now out on mine own i have a megger 1720 and there is no contest megger is better by miles

Hi Paul,

You will do very well to find a brand new Megger 15xx. Although they are superb testers, they have now been superceded by the Megger 17xx series of multifunction testers. You are most likely to find one second hand.

The Kewtech KT63 is a fairly new product to market, having been launched in March 2012. It is now the entry level multifunction tester within the Kewtech range (KT63, KT64, KT65) and it is far smaller than most of the other multifunction testers on the market.

The KT63 is slightly higher in specification than the Megger MFT1710 (entry level tester in the current Megger range), but it won't come near to the specification of a Megger MFT1552 or MFT1553.

I bought a used 1552 but it needs new leads and calibrating, full working order. I'm only getting rid because I got another one for a price I couldn't refuse. Looking for £150, as it looks used and obvs needs the new leads

Well if someone wants too give me more I'm open too offers lol just want rid to be honest its just sat gathering dust, like I sed will need calibrating and test leads but other than that its ok
