Hi all,
Need to get a MFT, used to meggers so want the same but newer. Apart from the test-meter sponser site, any ideas on where to get one at a good price.
Thanks in advance.

Hi essexman,

When you know which Megger MFT you want (1710, 1720, 1730 or 1730 On Site), I'd do a Google shopping comparison to point you in the right direction.

If you find a price that beats our price (remember we can supply you with a 5% discount), give us a call and we'll see if we can beat it, or at least match it for you.

Test-Meter

Do you do firmware upgrades for meters purchased from yourself - or would I contact megger direct.

Do you know the latest stable release for 1710.

Regards.

Hi StuSpiers, The latest firmware release for the 1700 series of MFT is 2.01.

We've sold a fair few units with the latest firmware upgrade, and I'm happy to say that the problems (inconsistant loop test readings, tripping RCD's/RCBO's on low current tests) that were being reported previously seem to have gone.

We also spoke with Megger at the Manchester ELEX show who have confirmed that the problems have been sorted with the latest firmware edition.

I've PM'd you with more details of how to have your firmware upgraded.

Cheers
