What material do you tend to use for a new back board for incomer, meter and CU ?

Was gonna go with MDF as I have done several times before. But I am using this job for a NIC EIC inspection and I want no problems.

Is there a preferred wood?

I cannot see any regs suggesting MDF is a no no....

Can you confirm MDF is good to go? I would deffo buy a meter board as suggested, but I cant see any way of getting the meter off the present board without tampering with the upper seal.

I wouldn't touch the meter and head m8 just mount your new CU on the meter board and thats it, the NIC inspector won't pull you up on the existing meter/head not being mounted on the same board as the CU.
