Does anybody know if the electricity suppliers or DNO will charge to fit a switch fuse to the tails when they move our meter as its in the shop below our flat at the moment. We want a token meter fitted but for it to be done they'd have to move it a good 3-4meters I know it needs fusing just don't know if they'll do it

Yes generally they will, but you may be lucky and they won't.
You may find that they will want the installation all prepared and ready for the meter change, including the switch fuse, CU and tails in place before they will make the move.

With all the will in the world without knowing the full extent of works they are carrying out, who the DNO is or the supplier no one can give you a correct answer. ALthough I d believe they do charge for installing a isolator, how much depends on which supplier you use.

Sorry for being so vague, I moved in last night. So haven't really had a look at the get up yet, the landlords told me the meter is downstairs and that there is 1 for us 1 for the shop. I quickly looked at the C/U last night and noticed a cut-out there. All that we want is the meter changing to a token meter but for this to be done it will need moving out the shop up into the flat inturn meaning they'll need to fit a kmf switch or something, as this is longer than 3 meters. And being at work I haven't had chance to ring so thought I'd see if anybody could give me a heads up.
