Discuss Metrel instaltest giving strange readings when testing single phase voltage in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi everyone, I have a metrel instaltest that, when testing single phase voltage always returns a reading of 540 V on L1 L2 L3. This suggests an internal fault that it automatically thinks it's testing three phase somehow. Has anyone else experienced similar faults with Metrel gear? Thanks

When was it last calibrated? Have you got a check box/card?
My 61557 started to give strange readings then decided it didn't want to work for me any more.
