Thanks

Now for a lighting circuit I would usexpect calculated Zs = Ze + (R1+R2)

Ze = 0.17 ohm
R1+R2 = 0.25 ohms

Zs = 0.42 ohms

Is this correct ?

I have done the C&G 2392 test and Inspection fairly recently.

I am still feeling my way around and just wanted some reassurance.

This is a for an addition of sockets and light fitting.

2 separate jobs / MWC

Thanks

Yes, Zs can be calculated or measured. Measured figures are preferred, especially on socket circuits as it is easy to take a measurement.

Is this as a practice job at your own home or are you doing these jobs at a customer's house ?

Graeme, it would appear the course you did, has not have a lasting impact on your memory. Were you given any handouts or publications on your course. If not I would suggest obtaining some, to refresh your memory. I'm not trying to be derogatory, on the face of it your questions seem quite basic. Perhaps it's the way you phrasing them?

NIC do a C&G 2392-10 Level 2 course book, or they did when I did my 2392. It might help you with some of these sorts of questions.
