motor, contactor or overload fault?

guys,

got a motor tripping an overload. Too much current is been pulled however how can I be sure its the motor and not the contactor or overload that is causing the problems. Have checked resistance across terminals and compared with a similar circuit and tbh they are the same but I need to be sure before ask for a new £1000+ motor

any tips to be sure?

As the motor winding resistances seem to be within tolerance, check the O/L modules, ...company not got any spare modules for these motors?? Another thing is to check the drive, make sure nothing is binding, or if belted drive that belt tension is good etc...

check that the motor bearings are free. could be partially seized or on the way out.

As has been suggested decouple the motor, also you could clamp the motor currents.
