Hi all new to this forum, and require some assistance to a job the is currently being undertaken.

A client is currently having a new kitchen installed and, behind a unit in the old kitchen there is a 100amp switch box, wich is fed from the cut out on the outside of the property. And swa out to DB under the stairs.

The problem is they are expecting a new range oven to be installed directly infront of the switch box, making it in accessible in the event of emergency.

Whats the options on moving this or having this moved to accomadate the new oven.

Hopefully these pics will help

You need an electrician to have a look at the job and see what is possible.
The easiest thing to do is probably adjusting the kitchen design as there is a limit to how far that could be moved without getting the electricity board to move the meter.

I am an electrician, im struggling to see a way round moving it, with out the DNO being involved. Theres no chance of the plan being changed now, the kitchen is at the job and ready to be installed.

Replace switch fuse with adaptable box and relocate switch fuse to meter cupboard the DNO will never know.
a MF adaptable box???

Chase a metal adaptable with the existing SwA glanded then rear through the existing hole into meter box using new tails or new length of SwA glanded to repositioned switch fuse in the meter cupboard using the big red square on the top right!
Or what @snowhead suggested.

Thanks for input lads, chasing an adaptable box into the wall and relocating a switch in the metre cupbord sounds like the best way to go at the moment. I was thinking henly blocks in the adaptable box to make the joint or crimps, but never crimped 25mm csa before so will most probably go in henly blocks.

Once again thanks for the replys its much appreciated
