Discuss Moving main supply, fuse and meter (homeowner enquiry) in the DIY Electrical Advice area at ElectriciansForums.net

I'm having building work done and would like to have the incoming supply, main fuse and meter all moved. The house is one end of a terrace of three and the main supply is overhead to the other end of the terrace. It crosses the front of the three houses at 2nd floor level and then drops down our flank wall, entering the house at ceiling level in the ground floor entrance corridor.

I'd like to move the supply, main fuse and meter to the other side of this corridor into a service cupboard. The supply will need to be extended by about 1.5m. I'm in Gloucestershire and I understand that my DNO is Western Power Distribution.

Can anyone advise me of the likely work involved and cost?

Many thanks.
