Moving switch.

Hi.
Hope someone can advise. Moving a light switch from an outside shed, through the wall and into my utility room. Have drilled through and re-connected switch but now have no lights in shed but do have in the utility room. Is all connected up exactly the same. Seems to be where we position it makes a difference.

You would have to give a bit more detail on what effect you are attempting to achieve, e.g. switching existing lights from new location only, adding lights to existing switched supply, changing the switch to operate utility lights instead of shed lights, etc.

If the only change is the switch location then I would expect a loose connection in the junction where the cable is extended or at the switch itself.

Could be the switch is upside down.
