Hi all,
first post here so hope this is ok, started 2330 in sept, (going great) we test our practicals for continuity, insulation resistance and polarity. The trouble is there's 20 in the class and 2 multi-function testers, can I use a cheap multimeter for insulation resistance on my boards such as this
[ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-60792-Digital-Multimeter-Backlight/dp/B0001K9XKW]Draper 60792 Digital Multimeter With Backlight: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools[/ame]
it does go up to 20megohms, i'm not looking for anything other than college work untill I complete 2391, it's basically to skip the hour wait for a tester, I did search this forum but couldn.t find the answer. I have a fluke t5/600 which does continuity tests, I'm also pretty skint any help or advice would be useful
thanks in advance
Barry
