NAPIT Certification Scheme Napit or Niceic

Hi all,

I'm looking at starting a course to eventually register on Napits full scope scheme and would like to know whether it's better to join Napit on the full scope scheme or Niceic on the defined scope?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

They all take your money, they're all ****e, but at least more people have heard of the NICEIC.

I would agree with the above I would go with Nic , but to answer your question NAPIT full scope is higher up the ladder than Nic defined scope(I take it you mean domestic installer), there is domestic installer defined scope (for plumbers etc) and domestic installer full scope(domestic electricians)

Yes, Napit are calling it the full scope electrical installer. Do you know if Nic do a full scope domestic installer scheme?

I started with NIC Domestic and after 2 years realised it would be more beneficial to be an approved contractor with a little extra money and the same inspections etc, and since having the approved status I have been getting bigger jobs to do as most Commercial jobs will look for the approved contractor.

Done exactly the same mate, DI then upgraded to AC get loads more work from it and much better quality of work too, why any one bothers with the rest is a mystery to me???
