Hi all
Im looking inti joining napit, can anyone shed some light on the on site assesment . Ie what to expect how it is structureded etc

Cheers guys

I did a CU change and an additional circuit. - saying that he didnt check the additional circuit.

He went through 1 full set of testing on a final ring circuit (only 1 circuit of my choice)

He also went through all paperwork I had including all my policies.

Anything I didn't have he gave me a sample policy for that with the attitude of you have got that now.

He also gave me a 10 question test on the 17th regs (you cant fail this!) - any questions you get wrong you have a 2nd, 3rd and 4th chance to get the correct answer and he explains why it is that answer. (open book)

He came in with the attitude that he is here to pass you and get you registered and the only way you will fail is if you have done something very dangerous and you clearly don't have a clue of what your doing.

Ok thats sounds good to me! What sort of policies do they look for. Is it like customer complaints invoices prices etc?

They are all the same - Napit, NICEIC, BSI, Elecsa

All they are used for is to notify LABC of notifiable work you are doing - go with the cheapest.

Give them a call and ask what they need

From memory:
Complaint Policy
H&S Policy
Waste Policy
All certs (you intend to issue)
Complaints Log

Not as far as i'm aware, ..there is a new kid on the block, but can't remember the name off hand. But they are by far the cheapest out of the providers.....

I'm sure others here will know the name!! lol!!

Lol, Wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't British Gas :)
