They have only combined in that them two and ELECSA made it own register of "competent" electricians while NAPIT did their own. This was recently criticized in the Parliamentary committee meeting.

Haven't NICEIC and ECA almost merged or contemplating doing so?
The difference is NICEIC have added there own requirements to the IEE Regs, thats why we joined the ECA.They are all one of the same in my eyes, should be like gas, just one body.
This is the exact reason I'm with niceic because most people favour them, the company my brother works for, they are a massive signage company with about a £30m turnover, they will only use NICEIC contractors.
