Discuss NEC Solar Exhibition - Starts Tomorrow in the Solar PV Forum | Solar Panels Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

@GavinA if you heading down and into the RHI you should also consider NextGen running at the same time.

We went yesterday as we were also at the awards night dinner at the Hilton.

Show not bad , a few empty booths , very quiet for installers who look like installers, a few suits about and lots of very fit young ladies who know absolutely sod all about solar but brighten the place up.
Same old stuff really.......

how do I get into the sun lounge ?

Saw it, ignored it :)

Highlights in terms of products were the changes made by two manufacturers. Firstly Easyroof have upgraded their product to make it fully compliant with MCS012. They really deserve success for their efforts. second, is the offering from Immersun. More expensive but now compliant.

Had fun taking the pi** out of the Thermodynamics boys. I asked how to defrost the panels in very cold weather and was told to switch the system off!!!! But, I want the heat from the radiators. Well use your back up heat source. If I have another heat source, why do I need thermodynamics?

You may not be aware they lost at judicial review over declassification of their products. Also they have not taken advantage of the offer of free empirical testing of the product. This will rumble on.

Overall a show of quality not quantity. A lot of Chinese wannabes not sure why they were there. Many interesting conference sessions.

Will definitely be back next year.
