Hello, I would like to get qualified to perform installations, notifications, tests and certification.

In 1998, instead of a full time assortment of C&G's I got an AGNVQ to get me to full time Elec Eng in Uni (with foundation and Masters (2003) years). The AGNVQ and foundation year were rather general and installation was never really the objective of either course.

Would my best option be three years of apprentice rates?

Thanks.

I just want to clarify, you're a fully qualified and practicing (and I assume registered) electrical engineer and you want to start doing domestic electrical work and be able to sign the work off?

Er, no, qualified only in that I've passed the mixed bag of elec eng and eng courses taken so far. Practising only in house bashing and finding it is illegal to touch even my own sockets. Registered, darn it, nail on the head, that's what I need, but yeah I would like to try and earn a crust doing domestic electrical work.

It seems C&G are all the rage but I wouldn't know where to start, nor would I want to take another seven odd years about, and really would like to draw a stipend or income during the whole process.
