I'll make this as short as possible.

This is what I have:

1) Inverter: Aukey 1000 W
2) Solar Controller: 40A
3) Battery: Solar battery 100 Ah C100
4) Solar Panels: One 100W PET Panel

I want to follow this:

Need help with fuse sMPLw - EletriciansForums.net

My Question:

What Amp fuse do I need to/from everywhere? (Yes, I'm a noob, this is my first project)

The fuse go to a fuse holder then connection right?

Can I use a circuit breaker instead of fuse?

Update: Sorry forgot to add 12V

12 AWG is usually rated at 20A.
Though a 100W panel at 12V will produce just over 8A.
So anywhere between 8.5A and 20A should be fine.

4AWG is usually rated at 70A.
However the Solar controller is rated at 40A.
So anywhere between 40A and 70A should be fine.

Make sure you also use 4AWG for the negative side between the battery and the inverter.

Thank you so much!

spin is correct in saying the controller is 40A. however, with a fully charged battery and the inverter supplying it's full load capacity of 1000watts, that's 83 A @ 12V,

83.3333 to be exact. maybe a little over to allow for losses in inverter.
