mcscert

You accreditation not going to be through in time? Need your install signing off?
PM me.
I will come and inspect then certify.

Markc, That's spending thousands on training and performing installs then not being certified in time for the deadline because the goal posts have been moved.
We should all be helping those out who are in that situation!

well done for helping all them lads that have been s---t on by government!and napit/ nic/mcs for not helping by being slow and finikie over certain things! yes there is standards to keep but lets all keep to the same standards and not crucify them who tried!! ie hang them out to dry!!!

So I take it from that you are offering this service for FREE? Helping everyone out or seizing an opportunity to cash in.

I feel for those in this situation as it isn't their fault but offering fraudulent sign offs isn't the answer. If you don't value your MCS registration then good for you but all it is doing is making a mockery of the system and devalues the scheme further. Lets face it the Government have done this on our behalf we need not add to it.

im not offering ! but someone needs to help those who have been left out to dry! the whole thing is a shambles! but for those who offer this i HOPE they dont take advantage!!

your right it is a joke been with napit for 3 years now done my first pv install a few weeks ago failed with some nc the other day given me till tomorrow morning to sort out if not im no way going to register in time , anyone in the mids area willing to help me out with signing it off im in leicester pm me please jim

out of intrest when u sign a job off it has a box that has a tick in the DID U PERFORM INSTALL!!! or somthing like that! im not looking now!! what happs if u tick NO ????? ANYONE!!!!

Hope you don't mind me posting a comment,
but as much as I understand all the work can be subcontracted as long as you, the mcs holder keep book and oversee the project.
I believe the larger installers which are installing shedloads on new estates just need to inspect a small amount of all the systems they register, which can be installed by non mcs guys, contracted or employed by the mcs installer. This is just something I remember reading in the gov docs when I did a bit of research some time ago.
Please don't take my word for it, but it might be worth your while reading the docs yourself for clarification.
I would expect that the final invoice would have to go through the mcs installer (who subcontracted the installation to a not yet accredited mcs installer)

Hello,
I thought this might turn into an interesting thread, but it seem nobody is really bothered about the possibilities of cooperation within the legal remit of the government documents.
Shame really, that it's the big ones that know how to use it and the little ones are left in the dark or something like this
Regards

So he did your QMS and you got those NC's? I'd want my money back as well. Did you amend it to get it through?

£600 to sign off? I think thats well cheap. If I knew that before, Id have saved my MCS investment & just paid the bargin price of £600 for every install.
Let someone else do all the calcs, forms, tests, drive around the country, additional insurance, specialist tools & testers, and put their name to an install that an unqualified person/company carried out.
