I recently finished uni got a degree (complete waste of time as theres no jobs), i had always intended on becoming an electrician after studying at university (mainly went for the social side and to learn a company start up). Few of my friends are now full qualified electricians and went through the JTL apprentice method which i can't do as im now a post grad. Just wondering being 22 years old and going back to college if i stand much chance of actually getting an aprenticeship (i will be doing my 2330 level 2) at college full time next year. If so, anybody know of any decent websites etc or ways to get one? already tried the governments site and found nothing.

Thanks

Where are you in the country? Contact local training providers for advice. Last year had a 21 year old apprentice at the college where i work, and he had been to uni.

Cheers...........Howard

I am currently Just outside of London new the QE2 bridge. Oh thats good news then, i know i wouldn't be able to get into the JTL as aparently the government stops funding or something if you've got a degree (what they told me :( )but if you had a apprentice last year then theres still hope!
