I've searched around and have only found dated threads on this so I'm not sure if the rules have changed.
After asking various electricians, all giving unclear and varied answers, what exactly can I do now I have passed the 2391? Some say I need to join a scheme like NIC, some say I need Part P.
All I want to do is a bit of private work for friends and family, sign it off and have everything be safe and legal. Do I need to join a scheme to do the work (domestic and commercial) legally? If not, what are the benefits of joining the NIC? Do I need to be Part P registered if, for example, I wired up a friend's new garage?
Thanks for any help, and sorry if this has been answered recently before.
