Hi all, on a building site 70 new connection, noticed all tray work for cabling etc , cable tied plus metal strap banding everywhere. This new regulation is extra work, phew glad I don't do installation work anymore.

The only info I can give is what I stated, to add the tray work an cabling is above, think it will be above false ceiling, hence the additional strap banding, to stop it all falling round your ear holes in the event of a fire.? lol

With the new installs now it’s minimal tray, then t&e going everywhere,All Band, suits the bundle of cables.
Buckle clips come in on their own when clipping 1 or 2 cables & neatly.

I have seen people now using bandy strap to clip up swa instead of using plastic cleats

Once it’s all up on the wall it doesn’t look too bad

We use basket everywhere above ceilings then clipped direct with cable clips to the wall to where the conduit drops are. we use FP "P" clips screwed at intervals to prevent premature collapse (have been before 18th).
